Sharon, from a young age, possessed a strong passion for creation, colour and design. She commenced her creative journey in Fashion design at RMIT majoring in theatre costumes.

With further education at East Sydney Technical College in print making. Sharon designed and made pieces or art using a combination of her new printmaking skills and her fashion design skills. She soon realized her passion lay in interiors.

Sharon graduated in interior decoration and design, working as an interior decorator in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for over 20 years creating beautiful living environments, her passion and sense of colour and style is unquestionably sophisticated and chic.

Sharon’s passion for design, a strong connection to nature, together with requests from her clients to offer a horticultural service led her to garden design. She graduated in garden design at Melbourne University, Burnley and has also completed formal qualifications in healing garden design which enables her to work closely with her clients to create gardens to connect or reconnect with nature to nurture the heart and soul.

During her period in garden design Sharon became aware of the beauty of nature in the world of microscopic plant cells. She designed and developed artwork and complimenting ranges of fabric which captured and mirrored the essence of nature’s hidden wonder. The prints can be used as curtains, framed prints, or beautifully eclectic homewares such as cushion covers and lampshades.

Sharon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. While researching breast cancer she did not want to bombard her head with negative images. She decided to research healthy breast cells and was mesmorised and inspired by the beauty of colour, and the movement of the cells. Having researched and developed the techniques necessary to bring individual plant cells to print form, she thought how the beautiful images could be used as imagery of artwork.

Her desire to help others going through their breast cancer journey has led her to develop artwork using healthy breast cells. Sharon is a firm believer in the power of positive visualization and believes the imagery of healthy breast cells will encourage a healthy mindset.

She has captured the innate loveliness of healthy breast cells, these magnificent images are available in pieces of artwork in varying sizes and as a magical pattern to grace the outside of stainless steel 'BPA free' bottles. A healthy, fun and environmentally responsible product for breast cancer survivors and others touched by this insidious disease.

Xylem and Phloem

Xylem; NOUN: pronounced- (zylem)
Meaning: ‘ The vascular tissue in plants which conducts water and dissolved nutrients upwards from the root and also helps to form the woody element in the stem’. (Oxford Dictionary)
Phloem:NOUN: pronounced- (flome) Meaning: ‘the vascular tissue in plants which conducts sugars and other metabolic products downwards from the leaves’. (Oxford Dictionary)

To me, the meaning is ’ the nourishment for all life….the environment, plants, humans and animals…hence the name …. Xylem and Phloem.
